This issue is deeply personal—her mother was forced to ration insulin because of its cost, a decision that ultimately contributed to her passing. Bernadette will fight to protect Social Security and Medicare from reckless cuts while working for practical solutions that lower prescription drug costs and ensure seniors can afford the care they need.

She will work across party lines to strengthen veterans’ healthcare, improve access to timely, quality care, and demand accountability for every public dollar spent.

At the same time, she believes our immigration system should be fair, efficient, and provide an earned pathway to citizenship for people who follow the law, contribute to our economy, and are committed to becoming Americans. We do not have to choose between security and compassion—we can have both.
